Is it so damn hard for one freakin team to beat the Dodgers? Is it? IS IT?

Well, at least now we have two teams that we can hope will lose the last two games of the season. Although, I don't think the Padres are going to lose two more to Arizona.

Come on, Barry. Do some damage to LA, would ya?

I just don't have any faith in Pat Burrell anymore. Every time he gets up to the plate, I say to myself, "This guy has no idea what the hell he's doing."

It amazes me how efficient I become during a baseball playoff race. My entire nightly schedule has to change so that by the time the first pitch is thrown at 7:05, I'm in my apartment, in front of the TV, with dinner already cooking. Sure, that doesn't sound very difficult, but it's everything before that point that I must cram into the hour and 55 minutes of free time that I have after work, before the start of the Phillies game. This includes a trip to grocery store, workout at the gym (which is 20 minutes away, mind you), and a shower. It's imperative that I take my shower before the game begins, because otherwise I'd have to wait the full three hours covered in dried sweat. Commercial breaks just aren't long enough.
