The Phils reached .500 for the first time this season since being 1-1, and they are still in second place, just 2 games behind Florida.
The Diamondbacks have now lost two in a row to the Phils, and I'm guessing it's partly because Arizona buys its jerseys at Kmart. (I hate their uniforms. I hate their logo. What fool is designing this crap?)
GameStar has to go to Perez. I know ... I'm giving it to the homerun hitter again, but I could care less. He had 4 RBIs for the night, and he's the man. I'm not saying he belongs on the starting lineup, especially now that we pulled up Utley, but as I've said before, I like watching this guy play and he (almost) never disappoints.
By the way, has anyone been watching Lieberthal lately? I don't want to jinx anything, but he has been batting great the past few games. By tomorrow, I should have some stats to back this up.
Congratulations, Madson, for 21+ innings without giving up an earned run, but it had to happen sometime.
OH, and four steals by the Phils tonight? They had a total of seven before the game started ... so I'd say things are improving pretty well right now. At the very least, it's an excellent way to start this roadtrip.
And finally ... the big question ...
