Fourteen innings later and the Phillies are again one game away from .500 as they took another from the Diamondbacks today, winning off an anticlimactic bases loaded walk by Oscar Villarreal.

There really weren't any heroes today, but GameStar goes to Pat Burrell, who tied the game in the 9th with a walk-off 2-run homer.

Star runnerups would be Madson, who pitched the 12th through the 14th, striking out two, keeping his ERA at 0, getting the win, and continuing to show the rest of the baseball world that he is a pitching phenom; and Perez, who gave the Phils their first two runs in the game with his own bomb to left field in the 7th. I have long believed that Perez is a valuable asset to the team, and above that he's a good guy that I always trust in the field and at bat.

But I gave the award to The Stud, because he is just that. Burrell has been struggling a little bit the past few games, so it's always nice to see him step up to the plate and remind Philly fans why we love him so much. This was Burrell's third homerun of the year, the last one being April 17 against the Expos.

But this game really shouldn't have lasted so long. If anything, it should have ended in the 11th when we had the bases loaded with just one out. After Glanville pushed Ledee into a force-out at home and Wooten kept swinging the bat like there was a bee flying around his head, I was about to buy voodoo dolls for the entire team.

BUT ... we won, and that's what matters. Tomorrow is an off-day, so check back for random musings or Quotables.

Bring on the Cardinals.
